We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join a team responsible for the complete front-office application support function for Equities Trading. The role will focus on supporting OMS/EMS platforms, managing trade flow issues, onboarding FIX clients, and providing technical support to trading desks, business users, and external clients. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Fully office based role that will be based in London. 

This is a hands-on support role requiring strong FIX Protocol knowledge, experience supporting electronic trading applications, and the ability to troubleshoot across multiple technologies in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Provide front-office application support for equities trading platforms and related applications.
  • Support and troubleshoot OMS/EMS systems, ensuring smooth order and trade flow processing.
  • Manage FIX connectivity issues, client onboarding, certification, and production support activities.
  • Investigate and resolve application, trade, and market connectivity incidents.
  • Work closely with traders, sales traders, operations teams, technology teams, and external clients.
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive improvements to system stability and performance.
  • Monitor production systems and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Support release deployments and participate in change management activities.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks, support documentation, and procedures.

Das bringst du mit

  • Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol, including FIX session management, troubleshooting, and client onboarding.
  • Experience supporting Cash Equities Trading environments.
  • Experience supporting OMS (Order Management Systems) and EMS (Execution Management Systems).
  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis, troubleshooting, and investigation.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including command-line administration and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of front-office trading workflows and the lifecycle of equity orders and trades.
  • Experience working within a production support or application support function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in a business-critical environment.
