Immediate opportunity for a Private organisation (Tier 1 contractor) end client of Gate One, providing repairs/maintenance for Social Housing.
Digital Transformation/8 months into 2-year programme. Rolling out no. of products for Dynamic Scheduling = multiple vendors involved.
Team:
- Blended team including Programme Director, however, he is NOT the sole decision-maker; a BA, Solution Architect, Change Manager. Grace (Gate One’s Client Partner) is onsite 1 day/week. They've also had a number of roles in/out
- Client Side = Ops Director (ex-Housing Association), Tech Director (NOT super technical / more a PM background but works well with Gate One Solution Architect) and x2 SMEs from Technology & Operations
- Consistent team, in particular client side
NOW..
- Supplier appointed = 'Fast Lean Smart' (SAAS solution) for Dynamic Scheduling. Detailed design done, now looking at the Dev they need to do, i.e., how much will be for the Minimum Viable Product/how much will be delayed.
- Will need to integrate into Job Management System called 'Maintain' = run by RMI (Clunky so needs a lot of the Dev work to make it work well).
- Build will take 11 weeks for MRI alone
Requirement..
- Test Analyst/3 months = early December+ (possibly earlier) - Nov = would have written a lot of the Test Scripts but don't have a great deal of Test experience.
- Profile..
- PM/Coordinator rather than heavy techie - not so much doer, more reviewing Test plans, also test cases - sufficient quality/coverage, time taken/how can they engage SMEs from front-line scheduling alongside vendors.
- A little test team coaching / ensuring vendors playing ball and well behaved.
- Thinks they might use JIRA but not used yet. MS Project Plan, stuff put on SharePoint.
- End-to-End Testing but will be touch as test environments not perfect
- Some test experience is useful. Don't need to be senior though. Understand difference between a good/bad test script, work around issues with End-to-End testing. Test plan is not robust, not thoroughly tested with vendors.
- Client has x2 offices (Finsbury Park main site) = 2 days/week Mondays and Wednesdays (occasionally their Leatherhead office but rare).
- Lots of pre-deployment material. Also, Grace and Ben (Programme Director), and potentially their Digital Director/Solution Architect = speak with them.
